We support our Pacific Beach community in various ways. Below are listed just a few of the programs we sponsor.

Youth Baseball

AL Post 552 sponsors the Cobras, a team based here in Pacific Beach. Want to see a game? View the 2024 District 22 schedule.

American Legion Baseball has been around since 1925. Young people ages 13 to 19 compete in all 50 states, plus Canada. Here’s an interesting history of the program.

Boys State

Post 552 interviewed, selected and sponsored two boys from local high schools to attend Boys State in June at Sacramento. They are Cayden Hanson and Darius McCovy. They came to our August 15 meeting to discuss their adventure and tell us what they learned, with PowerPoint presentations. Both were very pleased with this opportunity.

Cub Scouts

AL Post 552 also sponsors Cub Scout Pack 170, led by Jim Gilcrest.
